The X-RAID series of both Dual and Quad Photoelectric Beam Motion Sensors offer extended features not found in most other photoelectric sensors that you can count on when you really need them--in the harshest environments. X-RAID detectors operate with higher power--14X to 20X greater than needed for maximum range compared to 10X in competing detectors. This X-TRA power allows for continued detector operation in the presence of signal loss of 99.5% in dual beam (PBD) units and 99.75% in quad beam (PBQ) units. Along with outstanding Automatic Gain Control (AGC), this means X-TRA tolerance of adverse conditions like snow, fog, frost, and rain that greatly reduce the received signal from the transmitter.
